Everyone wants to know the secret to being a great athlete in CrossFit. After spending 4 years in the CrossFit Community I found the answer. No, its not wearing a pair of Lulus. Wrong, if you thought the innovates will make you faster. Nope again to chalk from head to toe. It’s simply attacking one movement at a time. Taking the time and patience to really learn a movement and executing it really well. I know this is mostly frustrating to new members. They come into the gym and see other members flying through wods efficiently and proficiently. They want to be there “now”. When you come into the gym, analyze the wod and pick a movement that you need to improve on. For example a wod involving pullups, wallballs and some type of olympic lift. Take the wallball and really watch the demonstration. Really listen to the description of the standards. Then perform every wallball perfectly. Sure it will affect your wod time, but if you truly focus on working that movement your performance will improve overall and give you an opportunity to move on to new “goats” (weakness). There you have it! Now go tackle a movement! shhhh…it’s a secret..
